NEW YORK
THE GLASSHOUSE BY PHILIP JOHNSON
The vacation home designed and lived (also died in) by the legend Philip Johnson, tucked away in upstate new york. A true minimalist masterpiece that sits on massive land, with a monk cell (study), main living space, a sculpture studio and and an art gallery that features the work of Andy Warhol. Must must must visit.Map

APPLE FIFTH AVENUE
Iconic glass cube that leads to the underground 24/7 Apple store that is peak expression to the brand’s minimal, classic aesthetic, designed with input from Steve Jobs himself - a true fan must not miss. Picked up my iphone 15 there on the launch day, the experience is as sleek as the the circular glass staircase.Map
RICK OWENS
One of the few Rick Owens flagships left, and probably the one i love the most since their closing of London store. Can’t be missed when wandering in soho.Map

DOVER STREET MARKET NEW YORK
I have to visit every single DSM in the world for obvious reasons.NY store is so much more fun and offbeat comparing to London/ginza’s ‘flagship’ vibes. Their buy, visual merchandising and store design can feel chaotic and confusing in the best possible form and very much reminds me more of the old DSML on Dover Street. Staff are super welcoming and great to sharing conversations with. What I find super interested is Rose Bakery here sells pizza slides ... that’s some serious localisation strategy!!!

GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM
My favourite building and one of my favourite museums, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. A concrete masterpiece wayyyy ahead of its time and looks like a spaceship from the outside. You can either spiralling up or down your way through the exhibitions inside - your choice. I also love its upper east side location - great neibourhood to walk around in, and direct access to Central Park after your visit.Map

CHROME HEARTS NEW YORK
Complete different vibes from their LA store - this one is a one story massive warehouse in a residential area. Its almost too discreet until you notice the wood they use at storefront is special. Inside: huge wood cross and leather dinousour instal, open-plan layout that feeld super spacious. Staffs are very approachable.Map

USM
As an long time admirer of USM products, bumping into Devin Turnbull’s Ojas listening setup in the USM furniture store paired with customise cabinets was such a delight. We just had a listening experience in London’s Lisson Gallery, seeing the two worlds coming together feels so natural! Not sure how long how long the pop up will be, but the store itself is beautifully laid out with great coffee table book selection worth going.

AUGUST GATHERINGS 富瑶
Best Cantonese food I’ve had abroad, much more authentic than the Chinese restaurants in London (sorry but it’s true).Located on Canal St. in Chinatown, very convinient location. Better to have a reservation or avoid dinner hours. House signature chicken is a MUST.

TAQUERIA RAMIREZ
Recommended by local friends, my absolute favourite way to eat in Brooklyn: Two of us first killed nine tacos at Taqueria Ramirez, walked 3 minutes to Paulie Gee’s Slice Shop on the block for the best new york pizza; and Kettl the matcha place is right around the corner for a after-meal matcha tea. Mwah.Map
