CHIANG MAI
VILLA MAHABHIROM
Relatively niche in Chiang Mai - but one of the most beautiful and unique place I’ve ever stayed with. 15min drive from the airport, tucked near city centre. Antique furnitures, sculptures and arts are scattered around the hotel; only 20 bungalows/villas available - each is a historical property and designed individually different; the wild plants and lushing landscape have given each villa a lot more privacy. We stayed during the rain season. Listening to the sound raindrops hitting leaves the and strolling through courtyard was the most therapeutic thing. A huge plus to the breakfast as well as super warm staff.
A must go if you like to stay outside of usual resort chains.

THE BARISTRO
The moment you step in, its a 100% authentic homey Japanese experience. Loved the design contrast between the modern clean indoor space and the natural quiet outdoor area. The place for great Asian-style cakes, matcha, tea and coffee. Absolutely vibey, always busy.Map
TOM TEM TOH
One of the most popular and buzzy spot for food. Serves traditional northern Thai cuisine with great barbecue. be aware - I personally find northern thai food extremely spicy 🥵 especially the soup (you need the giant coconuts trust me)..Map
